Complimentary Hearing Checks
Just like your eyesight, your hearing needs regular checks. Hearing loss often develops gradually, and many people do not notice the early signs. Regular hearing checks are an important way to spot changes early and protect your long-term hearing health.
At Marshall Opticians, we offer complimentary hearing checks in practice to make the process simple and convenient.
Most checks take around 45 to 60 minutes. Our friendly audiologist will talk to you about any changes you have noticed, examine your ears, complete a full hearing check and then explain your results clearly. If hearing aids would be helpful, your audiologist will show you suitable options and help you find the best fit.
Ear Wax Removal
Ear wax plays an important role in protecting your ears, but a build-up can cause discomfort, reduced hearing or blocked ears. We offer microsuction ear wax removal, which is widely recognised as the safest technique. It is gentle, effective and water free.
Appointments usually take around 15 minutes and most people notice immediate relief and clearer hearing afterwards. Regular wax removal is especially important for hearing aid users because excess wax can affect device performance.

Our Audiologist
Nathan
Nathan qualified as an Audiologist in 2017 from De Montford University in Leicester and he has delivered private and NHS services in both domiciliary care and clinic-based practices. Nathan is also fully qualified in wax removal using microsuction. Nathan’s passion is helping his patients, and their families to improve their quality of life. He enjoys spending time getting to know his patients to ensure the most appropriate individual solutions are provided.Away from the clinic he can often be found travelling with his young family and building experiences with them. He is an avid sports fan, especially rugby and football, and he has a keen interest in drawing and construction.
